Founders, Terry (a self described geek) and Shawna Mickelson, have owned and operated the performance based search engine optimization firm PageViews, Inc., also of Scottsdale, AZ, since 1998. From PageViews, they were able to leverage the extensive search experience and proven business processes that allow Get Found Local to offer unrivaled local search engine optimization (LSEO) results at affordable prices.

Get Found Local was founded in 2006 as a result of personal experience. As consumers, Terry and Shawna would go to the web to find what they were looking for, often times as they were already out and about, pulling out the handheld to access the internet. They would invariably find that businesses they even knew of didn’t show up, or had incorrect information. When Shawna looked for Lasik surgery, she found that there were plenty of Lasik doctor’s, but no link to their site (because there was no site), incorrect information, or they weren’t listed on the internet “Yellow Page” listings.

With their background from PageViews, they thought they could help local businesses by applying similar processes and principles, only on a local search basis, to get small businesses found. They immediately went to search for a domain name and registered exactly what they wanted for the first time ever. They took it as a sign that they were onto something, and boy were they right!

Terry and Shawna have always been strong advocates for small business as the backbone of the economy, and for doing business locally whenever they can with the belief that it supports their local communities.
