Getting smart with Local Marketing

I saw this press release come across on Facebook and thought about how smart this marketing is.

Give away a high perceived value gift to couple who are already getting all dressed up and looking for events. “Puppy dog close” them by giving the free photo and allow them to go home and look at it online to decide if they want to buy more. Get media coverage and promote the campaign on social media networks. I think this is smart and wish High Res the best of luck with it.

High Res Media Gives Valley Couples something to Cherish this Valentine’s Day

Phoenix, AZ – February 10, 2009 – With the tough economy and couples around the valley looking for a memorable and affordable way to celebrate this special day, Phoenix-based High Res Media announces their Picture Perfect Valentine’s Day photo shoot at Papago Park. Before spoiling your sweetie with a night on the town, take advantage of this professional photo session in the Phoenix mountains.

High Res Media will be giving the first 25 couples a free 8×10 photo, which is printed on location, along with some other goodies from Valley companies, Nothing Bundt Cakes in Ahwatukee and Dippin’ Dots at Norterra. Couples that don’t make the top 25 can still get an incredible deal and receive an 8×10 for only $10. Each couple will also receive a web link to access the online photo gallery, to purchase additional prints delivered to their door.

“We decided to hold this photo shoot on Valentine’s Day so that Valley couples will have a quality professional photograph to cherish for years to come,” says co-owner Anthony Benton of High Res Media who went on to say, “and we chose this location because it has truly amazing scenery.

”The event takes place this Saturday, February 14th from 10am – 12pm at the Eliot Trail: N Galvin Parkway & Papago Park. With its sandstone buttes and desert surroundings, Papago Park has a gorgeous backdrop. Major cross streets are Van Buren & Priest.
