Google seems to have finally cracked the code in it’s effort to be in command of search results. While they have been the industry leader for years, they have found a way to reward the sites that play by the rules and put in the effort while making those that don’t become irrelevant They have taken away the spam and have made business owners responsible for what they write. Gone are the days of automated link spam. Good riddance I say!
Google’s former CEO, Eric Schmidt recently was quoted by the Wall Street Journal that “Within search results, information tied to verified online profiles will be ranked higher than content without such verification, which will result in most users naturally clicking on the top (verified) results. The true cost of remaining anonymous, then, might be irrelevance.”
