The Venice Beach hostel has been around since the beginning of the 20th century. A cigarette manufacturer who originally envisioned a community next to Pacific Ocean that resembled Venice, Italy built the hostel. However, he didn’t quite end up with what he envisioned but with restaurants and bars, amusement parks, cheap hotels and canals next to the Ocean. Nevertheless, many a stars were attracted to the area at that time and today still is an attraction many are familiar with. The Venice beach hostel is one of many Los Angeles hostels located in the Southern California area and still has the charm and Bohemian spirit of yesterday.
